Frequently Asked Questions

Phytocab Product Questions

Will Phytocab get me high?

No. Since our phytocannabinoid blend comes from hemp, and hemp contains less than .3% THC concentration – the compound that gives you a psychoactive high – there is no high resulting from the consumption of Phytocab.

Are Phytocab products CBD?

Phytocab products are not an isolated source of CBD. Rather, they provide a phytocannabinoid blend.   In the hemp plant, there are over 545 compounds of which 113 are considered to be phytocannabinoids – CBD is only one of these phytocannabinoid compounds.

What does Phytocab feel like?

The best answer – it depends. Since our phytocannabinoid blend works with the body’s internal Endocannabinoid system, and each body is different, the effect is highly personalized based on what your body has going on inside. In general, many people report a sense of relaxation after using Phytocab products.

Is Phytocab marijuana?

No. Phytocab products come from the hemp plant, not the marijuana plant.  While hemp and marijuana are often associated because they come from the same family, they are not one the same.  The difference between hemp and marijuana lies in the appearance, function, cultivation and application.  Moreover, hemp is defined as having no more than .3% concentration of THC – the compound that causes the psychoactive high experienced in marijuana.

Will I fail a drug test if I take Phytocab?

Due to the trace amounts of THC (less than .3%), it is highly improbable (but not impossible) that someone taking PhytoCab would test positive on a drug test.

What is "clinical strength dose"?

Phytocab products have a clinical strength dose – this verifies that they provide 25 mg of phytocannabinoids (per serving), which is the clinically effective dose tested in research to provide the intended range of benefits – as well as effective doses of other ingredients.

What is the shelf life of Phytocab?

Our products will last up to 24 months. Store in a cool, dry place.

Are your products Vegan / Gluten Free?

No.

How long does it take for Phytocab to take effect?

Some ingredients in the Phytocab products work in less than an hour, while other ingredients offer their full effectiveness when used over a period of weeks.

General Questions

What are phytocannabinoids?

Phytocannabinoids, also referred to as plant cannabinoids (or just “cannabinoids” for short), are 113 of over 500 compounds found in the hemp plant. Clinical studies have shown the valuable role that these cannabinoids play in supporting the regulation and maintenance of important body systems.

What is Cannabidiol (CBD)?

Cannabidiol is only 1 of over 113 phytocannabinoid compounds that are found in hemp (also in marijuana). The science behind CBD has shown efficacy for helping to relieve temporary inflammation due to overexertion, stress, and occasional sleeplessness.

What is the Endocannabinoid system (ECS)?

The human body has its own system for processing and creating its own cannabinoids known as the Endocannabinoid system. This system is found throughout the brain and nervous system and is involved with the maintenance and regulation of functions like appetite, digestion, reproduction, motor learning, memory, pain modulation, stress, and sleep.   There are two types of receptors in the Endocannabinoid system: CB1 and CB2.

Are hemp-derived products legal to sell?

Products that are manufactured from agricultural/industrial hemp, containing less than .3% THC, are exempt from the Federal Controlled Substances Act, therefore are not unlawful to distribute. Furthermore, in the Federal Agriculture Act of 2014 (Farm Bill), Congress specifically exempted the cultivation of industrial hemp products derived from hemp seed and stalk.

How effective are phytocannabinoids?

In research, phytocannabinoids have been shown to be extremely effective for relief from symptoms of stress, occasional sleeplessness, and temporary inflammation from overexertion. In research analyzing statistics from 2,400 phytocannabinoid users, about 83% experienced effective relief with the use of hemp-derived phytocannabinoids.

Can phytocannabinoids replace my traditional medications?

Firstly, always consult your doctor before making any changes to your medications. Your doctor may or may not advise you to use phytocannabinoid products in addition to, or in place of current medications.

What is the "Entourage Effect?"

The ‘entourage effect’ refers to the full-bodied experience that occurs when phytocannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, and other compounds work synergistically to magnify the intended effects – as opposed to just one or two of these beneficial compounds working in isolation.

What are Terpenes?

Terpenes are molecules that have been shown to carry a variety of health benefits, and many serve as the basis of aromatherapy. There are around 200 terpenes that have been found in hemp.

What are Flavonoids?

Flavonoids are phytonutrients that have been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

How long has hemp been around?

Hemp has been industrially cultivated by humans for over 10,000 years.  It was originally used by the ancient Mesopotamians in 8,000 BC where they used the plant to cultivate textile fiber.  Hemp was later used as a folk remedy and ancient medicine in China. Today, there are many uses for hemp which include medicines, textiles, paper, green building materials, and alternative fuel.

What does full-spectrum mean?

Here at Twinlab, we believe that good things should not go to waste. While many other products use only one of hundreds of cannabinoids, on top of other nutraceuticals, we use a wide range of phytocannabinoids (Phytocannabinoid Rich Whole Food Blend).  This provides a superior effect as all the ingredients work synergistically (AKA the Entourage Effect).

Do I need a medical card to order Phytocab?

No, a medical card or doctor’s prescription is not needed.

What method of extraction do you use?

We use a high-tech CO2 extraction yielding the highest quality of phytocannabinoids.

Safety Questions

Are there any side effects?

Generally, Phytocab products are well-tolerated and considered safe. As with any other supplement, there might be a chance that some have an adverse reaction with the introduction of new ingredients that work internally.  Always consult your doctor before taking a new supplement, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, taking any medications, or suspect a medical condition.

Can I overdose on phytocannabinoids?

In research, fairly high doses of phytocannabinoids (100’s of milligrams) have been used without adverse effects. However, it is recommended that you stick to the directions regarding dosing, to optimize safety and efficacy.

Is Phytocab safe for my child/grandparent?

PhytoCab products are recommended for adults 18 or more years of age.

Is Phytocab safe for my pet?

We do not recommend administering PhytoCab to your pets. While phytocannabinoids are considered safe for pets, our product was designed with YOU in mind. In other words, our dosage and added nutraceuticals may have an adverse internal reaction in your pet.
